Scientists for Social Progress LLC (SSP) is a boutique research consulting firm that advances social and institutional policy in the interest of building an inclusive, sustainable society and environment. Centering our clients' needs, we develop evidence-based solutions crafted to yield success.

MODEL

At SSP, we transfer subject matter expertise into practical, actionable solutions. We use an enhanced, streamlined CDC program evaluation model that includes Wraparound Rigor℠. Our model rests on the foundational Ma'at principle of truth, adding philosophical thought and intersectional considerations to our consulting practices in the interest of advancing the human condition for vulnerable populations.

For our organization services, SSP promises to deliver a team with a minimum of one subject matter expert with field experience needed to meet our client's goals. If we don't have an expert, we don't accept the contract.

SSP affiliates have delivered practical results to some of the world's most powerful firms and organizations, from the White House to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. They have been highlighted in many avenues of recognition, from the National Science Foundation to the Forbes 30 under 30 list.

• "Clarity" over “Crutch” 

One enduring criticism many SSP affiliates have heard from external partners regarding client-consultant relationships is the lack of a guarantee that recommendations will work, or what to do in the event that they don't. Too often, organizations reluctantly re-use the same consulting firms, murky on how to navigate where else to go and developing no new skills of self-sufficiency along the way.

Moving forward in a world that values data evaluation in informed decision-making,  SSP has developed the capacity to work with medium and small-sized organizations to provide the basic tools needed for maximum success in basic evaluation.

SSP believes in offering standard firm excellence in addition to making available measures of self-sufficiency to our clients. While we thoroughly enjoy the relationships we foster with our clients, we dream of a day in which our services (and theirs) are no longer needed.
